| I have a friend whose Dad made his own golf course on his family land. The dad passed away a couple of years back and none of his sons played golf, but they kept maintaining the course just like they had when Dad was alive. So his Mom basically said "Well, SOMEBODY is going to use that course. Your daddy put a LOT of work into it." and assigned golf as a chore to her sons. So my friend actually HAS to play golf on a private course at least once a month. He does it on the days when it's his turn to mow the course.
I introduced him to shotgun golf. We had a lot of fun, but his Mom objected. So he's back to regular golf as a chore.
