Great games with terrible endings!

I'm not too big a movie watcher but I'm a big gamer and after looking through the "good movies; bad endings" thread I thought "What are some great games with terrible endings?"

Probably number one on my list is the first Assassins Creed. Game was fun and interesting but in addition to the ending coming out of absolutely nowhere, it screamed "BUY THE NEXT GAME TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS NEXT!11!!1!one". Biggest, lamest cliff hanger ever. I'll think of more later but what games do you guys think belong on this list?

I'd like to say that The Matrix:Path of Neo isn't the best game around, but its ending is really rad.

Those who played will remember

Batman: Arkham Asylum

The entire game was great, but the final boss fight was pretty lame.

Army Of Two. The last level was insanely hard (on the hardest difficulty) but then once you reached the final bad guy, everything just seemed to end a bit abruptly.

I find that hard to believe - or at least in regards to everything before Majora`s Mask.

Agreed. I unloaded a .50 caliber sniper round into his head from across the room, so imagine my surprise when the game ended.

Bioshock. Had a great story and told it in an innovative way (audio diaries, wall posters, bits and bobs here and there), but the ending after the final boss sucked. It was like they got to the end and realized there were about 4 hours left before going gold and made the ending out of the first thing they thought of.

I thought Knights of The Old Republic 2 was a great game....but was like, "The hell is this B.S.????" when I beat it...needless to say, I was a bit disappointed.

Yeah. If you thought the ending of the first one was bad, #2 takes bad endings to a whole new level. I think the fact that the first 99.5% of the game was incredible, really made me expect a better ending.

Major +1 on the Assassin's Creed games.

Those games had miles of potential on plot, but turned out to be the worst plot in a game. Ever.

Rant cont. w/ spoilers:
Any game/movie/story ending with "aliens/other races set up mankind and created stuff, blah blah blah is the ultimate cop-out for "we ran out of plot ideas, so let's throw in aliens and stuff" (That means you too Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull). A crazy, different race creates everything and everybody's chasing a "piece of Eden"? Come on.
