The bass is fine, but the case has seen better days.

Shipping is rough on packages. No matter which shipper you use, they all have the same basic methods which involve multiple people handling packages as they're loaded and unloaded in various buildings, containers, cars, trucks, trailers, airplanes, etc. Those loads will shift in transit. Those packages will be exposed to pressure from other boxes, gravity, acts of God, the realities of deadlines, etc.
Good packaging will save everybody time and money, not to mention frustration.

He tossed them in a box that was at least 20x the size of them and tossed in a single sheet of the small bubble wrap. The sheet was about 2 feet long. It wasn't taped or wrapped around anything..just tossed in there.
Then one time I bought a VERY heavy commercial coffee grinder from a guy. He packed it in a box with about 1000 plastic grocery bags as the padding. They did nothing to hold this massive, heavy metal coffee grinder in place and it was hanging out the side when I got it...damaged of course. Plastic grocery bags?? Srsly?!

Dude shipped it in the case and wrapped a couple pieces of duct tape around it. I have no idea how the case was somewhat intact when I got it, luckily the bone was ok.

It made it to it's destination safe and sound. |
