No, sadly, there is no John Candy remake on the way, AFAIK.

With all this snow here in the Midwest, East, and Noreast, Ive been thinking.. man, I miss the outdoors! So, Ive made a pact with myself.

Im a big school, indoors, uptight, Xbox fiend teen. Sure, I do lots of outdoor things, but not as much as I have always strived for. So, I plan to change that. Here are some things I have in mind!
  • Put away the Xbox for the summer, starting the day school ends and extending to when school begins (Unless I sell it...)
  • Bike more. I have always been a biker, but not enough. I plan to commute to school when the weather is nice, girlfriends house, YMCA, basically anywhere I can. Gas isnt cheap, especially for a 17 year old.
  • Camp, something I dont do enough of. Biking/canoeing into a spot, camping for a day or two, and back. Maybe even some "Bear Grylls"-esque trips.
  • Fitness.. I have been working my butt off, but Im nowhere near where I want to be. 6 pack is my long term goal.
  • Any other ideas? Im all ears.

Im just excited thinking about it.. So, what your plans? And of course, you guys with good weather all the time are more than welcome to chime in! Im just loving the thought!

You can do all the core workout that you want to, but if your nutrition sucks, you will never have a six pack.

Dude, I'll be down with doing this with you if you want. I've been swamped this year at college and haven't had any time to make it to the gym at all.

I've been eating healthy(er) for about a week now. Working out for about 3 months, but I'm taking this all serious now.

JMatt, I'm hoping to start a serious project like my dad did nearly 6 years ago.

Mohican State Park is a great place to go camping and tubing. Also, consider paintball. It's fun and great exercise at the same time. Take up amateur photography, you tend to walk a lot while looking for things to take pictures of.

You get down to Texas. I'll take you to do some real wilderness camping. 600 miles to the nearest gas station/town.

There's no snow up here, by the way.
