Eh, no big deal.

I think it's good for my immune system to get regular doses of germs to practice on. It helps keep it an elite fighting force for when I'll ready need it.

George Carlin did a great bit about that.

Aye!

I think we should make a fan club of George Carlin.
"I LO-O-O-OVE chemical additives in my food!"

About the topic: when I was in the army, I often prefered to put the food on the tray and not on the dish, because they both recieved the same treatment, BUT the tray had less chances to come with someone else's saliva Interestingly enough, I never had any health issues there.

mebbe, but my guess would be too busy, not too lazy.
normally, housekeepers are on a tight schedule, having to get X units done in X time.
no excuse, of course, but i bet it's not laziness...more than likely, it's the management that doesn't want them to take the time...or doesn't care, until they are caught.

The only ones I have ever seen is the plastic ones that come individually wrapped.

If you watched that report, you'd see that your immune system could be "practicing" on Staph, Herpes, or Mono....

No thanks....

God... the world is so pathetic. TV makes everyone worry about germs and diseases and illnesses. There are adds everywhere for antidepressants, immune boost pills and vaccinations. Scare tactics. Life's too short to worry about all the minor details.

If you're so concerned about this "report", just wash your glass before you use it.

Right, because it's totally fine to pick up a potentially dangerous pathogen from a hotel drinking glass. If you're so damn fine with the idea, why don't you move to a third world country in Africa or South America? After all, "life's too short to worry about all the minor details". Give me a frickin break.

After watching that report let me assure you sir that southamerica is much cleaner and I survived pretty well 30+ years there so I'd say that ROON wasn't that wrong.

I have traveled my whole life, never gotten sick from drinking from a hotel glass. I don't think I ever will either. I think there is a big difference between a "3rd world country" and a "minor detail".

Famine..........VS........Hotel glass
Malnutrition....VS........Hotel glass
Civil War........VS........Hotel glass
Genocide........VS........Hotel glass

Are any of those things on the left hand side minor issues? Last time I checked they weren't.

If you wanna live your life in fear, that's fine by me.
People starve and get murdered in 3rd world countries every day, and here we are scared of catching a virus from a hotel glass.

What Pacman failed to mention, is that in San Antonio we are immune to all this due to the percentage of Taqueria's in town. You can clearly see his denial.

Most of my friends growing up in homes that were clinically clean were always sick.

I tend to agree Roon on this one, there's bigger issues to worry about as per the prior list. eg. If there was a kid dying in a foreign country there'd be all the resources to get 'em out of there. While children die of starvation every few minutes and as we stuff our faces with Mc Chuck, the mutter of there's nothin we can do about it rings out.

BTW Staph's days are numbered, a research centre here has a vaccine that's due out after the standard testing period.

And Carlos isn't scared of Herpes anymore. You can't catch it twice can you?
