GT Performer vs Diamondback Session Pro

So I have the bug to start riding again after getting bikes for my kids for Christmas. I haven't ridden since the early 90's. GT Performers were always my favorite bmx, but I'm not sure which is best these days, GT Performer 26 or Diamondback Session Pro 24. Any advice would help.

Wear a helmet and always remember , you will not heal as quickly as your kids will, oh , and have fun. Lol

More than 20 years ago, I had both a Diamondback and a GT. I liked them both, although I preferred the GT. It was considered more of a competitors bike. At the time, mid 80's I remember that aluminum frames were a big deal. Before those, I had a Mongoose with a VERY heavy frame and giant iron wheels.
