Not mine, but I will be booking with him in the future.

My response when I saw it was that it looks better than 80% of tattoo artists that have been tattooing for years. It is a skateboarding buddy of mine that is apprenticing under the guy that has done all my tattoos. He is 17 and will be a big name eventually. He is extremely talented and very driven.

Not mine, but I am now thinking of what I want him to do on me.

If I were to book with him it is $50 an hour up to a max of $200, major discount there. Considering the guy he is apprenticing under charges in the $140 an hour range.

I don't know a lot about tattoos, but at 17 one can tell he's got talent.

About a year or so ago there was a Rock/tattoo artist tour and a "sleeved" friend of mine was planning on booking some time with a particular, well known tattoo artist. I was surprised how much he was willing to pay for him.

Original drawing that is part of one of his flash sheets. For his apprenticeship, the first thing that he had to do was draw three sheets of flash that were 24x36. Here is a link to his facebook group and he has a bunch of paintings and stuff posted there.

That isn't an appropriate answer. "How long" asks for a designated period of time, your "answer" was not a period of time but rather a fun fact.

He could have done 6 tattoos in the course of a day, or over 10 years.



Still, that is really damn good for his 6th tattoo, the coloring is quite impressive for such little experience. Here is hoping he has found his "stroke" as it were, as apprentices tend to have slightly heavy hands IME. Then again, apprentices don't tend to do that caliber of work.
