GUESTS vs MEMBERS

Sign in to disble this ad
I am consistently amazed at how many Guests are on this site vs the Members. I always wonder why these Guests don't just JOIN US! ***.

Just an observation.

YOO HOO---all you Guests-----JOIN US! (That's a command)

I'm guessing most guests are peeps who are finding results from google searches or whatnot.

They're females. They won't join because they see how the testosterone overdosed masses here react when a female member posts.

I bet they're guitar players and drummers checking to see what their bass players are saying behind their backs.....

Hi.

My take on the subject is that most of them are just members who (for various reasons) don't want their precence to be known at all times they're browsing TB.

Also, the quick session time-out on TB may drop public or workplace surfers into guests, sooner than they realize.

Regards
Sam

I don't think they should be called guests. They should should be fans.

Membership is free. Only a Supporting Membership costs money. The people that show as Guests are not members, unless they are either on a computer that does not have cookies enabled, or are purposely not logged in, for privacy (or other) reasons.

Im pretty sure you already have. You signed up and have a username. You may not be a supporting member, but I believe you are still a member. Guests are just those annoying pests who don't wanna sign up for free trying to steal all of our secret bass information.

I was talking about a supporting membership. I just got the terms confused. I hope to do that before the year ends, though.

It's what... 20 bucks to become a supporting member for a YEAR? And zero bucks just to have a username? Heck I hardly even use this forum for anything bass-related anymore but I still support because 20 beans a year is nothing for a website that turned me from a total noob into someone actually knowledgeable about bass. Then again it has also cost me well over 10k in gear purchases so....

Now I'm not so sure.
