Guild Wars 2

It's been 4 years since the first Guild Wars came out. Many of us have played it. For the past year, NCsoft has had a guild wars 2 website with a few videos and news updates. Is anyone looking forward to it? If so, are you going out of your way to finish earning titles in GW1 for a chance to get beta access to GW2?

Guild Wars was a bit rare when it first came out as it was one of the first online mmo games to offer free online play with purchase of the game. So far, everything points to a continuation of the free online play with purchase setup for the new game. Players who have eye of the north will be able to access items left behind by their GW1 counterparts in GW2 by visiting their hall of monuments at the Eye of the North.

New features of GW2 will be ability to play as charr, sylvani, and asura on top of the existing human characters. No release date has been hinted at yet for either full release or beta. Just wondering if anyone is planning to play GW2 after release or whether people are considering it a dead franchise at this point.

I'll give it a bash, I got the original when it came out (2005?) and it was fun at the time.

Never really played much of the expansions, tho I did get them (cheap on steam last year )

I've been playing Guild Wars on and off since a few months after its release, and I've gotta say, I'm INCREDIBLY pumped for Guild Wars 2. That said, I'm probably not going to go out of my way to get titles for the beta, just because I hate title grinding . Oh well.

Eye of the north was the best add-on to the original... If not just for the norn drinking festivities.
