Guitar Magazine Screw-up

I was all excited because my son subscribed me to Bass Guitar Magazine as a Christmas gift.

But when the first issue arrived I was very dissappointed because instead of Bass Guitar Magazine it was Guitar Magazine (some Stevie Ray Vaughan wanna be on the cover).

I've sent an e-mail asking about the problem (can't find a stupid number) and a rep is supposed to reply within 2 days. That sucks.

Anybody else have issues with this publication?

Could've been worse - you could've received a subscription to Bassmasters

If you haven't heard they've discontinued that magazine so now all of your issues will be the guitar magazine.

Its really too bad. It was a great little magazine for us popular music players. I really enjoyed it but apparently I was about the only one. Because of the music I play I got more out of it than I did out of Bass Player.

I was thinking of subscribing to a bass mag...suggestions?

While gear is cool I'm more interested in included sheet music, exercises, interviews and the like.

If you want one from the U.S., "Bass Player" is the only one that fits the description of what you're looking for.
