This guy really likes rainbows

I actually saw a double rainbow about three weeks ago. I marveled at it for five minutes and then went about my business. There was no need for any screaming/orgasms/weeping.

If you're bored, forward to ~1:00.

You can get a good explanation from "Boyer, Carl B. (1987). The Rainbow, From Myth to Mathematics. Princeton University Press. ISBN 0-691-08457-2".

No you can't.

Here's the argument.

1. If you do not have an explanation of perception then you cannot have an explanation of any event known only by perception.
2. A rainbow is known only by perception.
3. Therefore you have no 'explanation' of a rainbow.

Somethin' like that. And this is to not even mention the aesthetic considerations.

Anyway (1)'s antecedent is unassailable. Don't even try.
