At 52, he suddenly died from a heart attack. He was the dean of the music faculty of one of the universities I work with. Not just my boss, but a great friend. A terrific musician with a great sense of humor. Few times in my life I've felt so devastated over someone's death. Rest In Peace, my dear friend Chucho.

Fantastic piano playing on that video - and what a great performance overall.

Cool piece of music, too. Kind of reminded me of Ron Carter's, "Friends" CD.
Sincerely,
Matt. |
