A guy working at JcPenney - Weird??

Sign in to disble this ad
So, I'm a 17 year old guy, almost 18, looking desparately for a job and I'm thinking of working at JcPenney. Is it weird that guy wants to work there?? I mean, I buy most of my clothes there and I think it's a really nice store and everything for different things you need.

Overall, I like the store. I really do. I go there quite often for clothes.

I'll say this: It's better than working fast food, I don't care who you are.

Plus, there's some seriously nice looking chicks at the one I'm applying to.....AND there's lots of fitting rooms.......

It's not weird to work there. Take the job if you get it.

Up until that last statement, I would've said it's a great idea...

As others have said, this job will be better than fast food. Depending on what's available and your appearance, you might be offered a job unloading trucks on the dock. Still better than fast food and no customers.

I'd take it. The best job I've ever had was delivering pizzas. If that isn't an option, I'd certainly take something like JC Penney. It seems like it would be way less stressful than working at a Walmart (especially as a cashier) or a fast food joint. I can't imagine anyone giving you any trouble or harassing you over working at a store like that.

Weirder things have happened...when I was 18 I applied at Victoria's Secret. I could've had it too, but stupid 'ol me decided to take a higher paying job elsewhere.

Um. You need a job, they have jobs. Take it in this economy. (Oh, and practice good customer service, even if you think your customer is an idiot…)

A job's a job, dude.

I'd work in an all male sex toy shop if the pay's good.

Take it. I don't see anything strange about it and it will be a good way to meet ladies, assuming you're on the sales floor. Of course, dealing with customers can be an adventure.

Any job for a young guy like yourself where you can get a discount on clothes or food is brilliant.

I see nothing weird there. It's not like it's going to be your career or anything. +1 on the hot chick parameters.

Yeah, definitely plus there. I worked retail clothing for a while, and there's nothing better than getting paid to have a girl/woman show you her butt while she's trying on jeans and ask, "How does this look?"

Am I missing something here???? I don't see how this could be weird...

EDIT: Ah, you're 17, boi, you don't know nuthin' 'bout nuthin'. You get a pass. No, nothing weird about a guy working at JC Penny's. As has been said, any job is a good one at this point
