What I don't get into college. I mean, I'm not the brightest mother ducker in the world. So there's a very good chance I'm ****ed. And even if I do get into college, I probably won't get into the music program. I can't pull off Dottersdorf. I just can't. It's too hard, or I'm jus nit good enough. I have no idea what my teacher was thinking. I really don't think I can't do this and it's scaring the hell out of me. I have no idea what I'm doing.

Apply to enough and you'll get in. My grades were pretty sucky (2.6 GPA) but I got in with a few scholarships to boot.

Just remember you're a living organism on this planet, and you're very safe. You've just taken a heavy drug. Relax, stay inside and listen to some music, Okay? Do you have any Allman Brothers?

That chaps my butt a little. I had a 4.0, was a successful athlete and a national merit scholar and I was denied admission to several schools. The only scholarship I was awarded was the aforementioned national merit but that only amounted to about $2,500/yr.

if you don't get into a university, try a city college. I did many of my nursing prerequisites at one in my area, and the classes were very good. as a matter of fact, the same professors often teach both university and city college courses (at least in my area). then later you can transfer into a university, your degree will say university, and no one will know or care that you took some courses at a city college

Try a trade school. Much less academic and the jobs upon graduation often get paid very well.

Yea, it sucks but that's my point exactly. PRetty much everyone could get into college so long as their gpa is above 2.0. And now you can get scholarships for ANYTHING it's just a matter of finding the good ones and filling them out before everyone else.

a friend of mine was pretty much a slouch in HS back in the 70's. He was average in most stuff and a bit below average in some subjects. We kinda lost touch after we got into college...a few years back I get an email from my sister who saw him on the internet on some web page...he is now a world renowned surgeon in ob/gyn issues...he always did like the women but holy cow...who'd a thunkit?

It just goes to show...ya just never know.

Have you considered a jr/community college? It would be a better place for you to get your wits about you to get started. If you do make sure the credit transfer to a 4 year school with out issues.

Go to a community college, where all you need is a pulse to be accepted in.
Do well here.
Apply to school that you want to get into.
????

Since the OP is still in high school he may not be aware there was a time when SNL was funny.

Seriously though, the Allman Bros thing works.
