Anyone know what I need to do now? I'd like not to lose all my hits or have to redo eveything. Thanks for any help.

How do you know it's hacked and the particular set of servers you're hosted on aren't down for maintenance or something like that?

Also what do you have on your site as far as CMS software, is it a forum, etc.

Or are you talking about that really annoying music that's going on in the background of your myspace page that your site redirects you to?

Yep. That's what I'm talking bout. It's my myspace page, but some asshat put that music there and I'm not web savvy enough to know what I have to do now to get rid of it. :/

I'm no expert, but my guess is that he injected a script into your profile layout code that triggers the music to play whenever someone visits your page. If that's the case, you can fix it pretty easily; all you have to do is re-create your Myspace layout at whatever third party site you made it at, and then paste the new code over the old (hey, it's better than starting over from scratch.)

Joe, if you can still log into your myspace account, I would just get a new template, because something tells me that one of your css files has been corrupted, unless someone stuck a small flash file in there that's set to play the music.

In either case, getting a new template should solve the problem without resetting your play counts. If that still doesn't fix the issue then send me a pm and I can see what I can do.

Thanks a lot. I'm in the middle of a move right now, and working 12 hr days so I don't know if I'm going to be getting to this right away. I appreciate the help offer, and may need to take you up on it some time next week.

Also, if anyone has any good pages for layout scripts, please post links. The page I had was incredibly outdated looking and I need something new, anyhow.

Yup thats what it is, somehow it's invisible unless you block all scrips on the page, with NoScript or similar.

Dang. Yooz guyz amaze me with this kind of stuff.

Can anyone tell me exactly how to go about getting rid of it? I have to be spoon fed any kind stuff like this. :/ And thanks. I'm feeling hopeful and happy at least that it seems nobody got my password or anything.

You click on "view all comments" (or the corresponding link) while logged in to Myspace, and you should have a "delete comment" button.

Go into where you edit your layout, look for the line of code that has .js
and delete it. change your password and lay off the porn.
