Hi.

Mom called, my father (67) had collapsed in his daily walk this evening. A heart attack came out of the blue. Fortunately the passers by started CPR immediately and called the ambulance right away.

She had just came from the hospital and the doctors can't tell whether the heart attack damaged his brain or not. They've lowered his body temperature for the next 24 hours, and no diagnose can be made before they raise it again.

My parents are not young, but they're quite fit for their age, mom's been worse from time to time, but pops, never. Even if pops pulls through this, and I believe he will, I fear that mom will take the whole episode too hard. She just lost her sister a while ago, I don't think she's ready to give up a man she's been married to and loved for 40 years.

This SUCKS big time.

Regards
Sam

Sorry to hear that.

For what it's worth, my mom had a massive heart attack 24 yrs. ago and she's still alive and doing well. It changed both my parents perspective on life and I'm quite certain they've enjoyed the past 24 years a whole lot more than the years preceeding the attack. They turned into much nicer people too. I wish you and your parents the best.
