I call BS

The window and her skull stopped the bullet...The producer saw the story as a chance to do some racial marketing, by interviewing a bunch of people about hair weaves.

If hair weaves stopped bullets we wouldn't need kevlar...We could just send out our army of Chewbaccas

Actually, kevlar is a kind of tightly woven fibre. And hair's pretty strong, so i could see a tight hair weave potentially stopping something like a 0.22, especially after it had passed through a windshield.

Yeah that's a good point, but there is nothing for the weave to discharge the energy into, A vest or helmet can distribute the energy, how is a thin little patch of hair going to do anything? I'm pretty convinced the windshield took the brunt of the energy and that her head would have stopped the bullet weave or not.

...Where are the myth busters when you need them? I could see either of them playing bass.
