Half Life movie is here!

...kind of. It's a fan film but wow, it's incredible. Take a look and see for yourself:

It looks fantastic. Unlike so many Hollywood production companies, these guys have actually captured the feel of the Half Life games. They did it with a budget of $500 I believe.

It was so good that I forgot it was only a trailer and was very upset when it ended so early.

Half Life deserved to have a movie of its own right when it was on the market.Probably the most important game of the FPS history.

The vid. had the feeling of the HL2.

It had nothing to do with the original HL (which is epic and beginning of a new era) and I agree with you there.

But still HL2 is prettyy good and these guys deserve a thumbs up for that IMO.

Freeman vs. grunts, now that'd be an Oscar winning movie.

oh, yeah, don't get me wrong, i thought it was fantastic, both hl2 and this fan flick. just wanted to make the distinction between the two.

a halflife movie would be an epic endeavor, even more than this one, with the multiple worlds and all.

It doesn't make any difference to me obviously, but you're right. It's based on Half Life 2.

I can't wait to see the other parts.

Yo...

That's all I can say.

But I've got a tingle in my bottom, so that's good.

Awesome work !!!

Now, to the important decisions : Who would you see as Alix Vance ?

I'd say Halle berry but she misses that "asian hot chick" edge ...

Duh, Jamil Mullen of course.

The whole Half-Life storyline and background are nothing short of fabulous. I'd be really, really disappointed if they messed up with it and ended with a bad adaptation.

I think having someone play Gordon would have ruined it, TBH. They were wise no to go there.

Ah, yes.

The teaser was fantastic. The CG, superb, but the acting was a bit weird.

yeah, you can't recreate Mr. Freeman.

Besides, he doesn't talk. Who wants a movie with no dialogue?

I think you could probably get away with doing it from the perspective of Barney.
