It's Aintree. Therefore I'm not really shocked, appalled or anything remotely like caring.

It's pretty well known for outrageous fashions, a pair of neon dresses are hardly outrageous in the context.

I'd hardly equate it to "Halloween at the race track".

I'm not familiar with Aintree so I have no context to why the cheesey outfits. Explain.

It's just a tradition that has arisen. I'm not really over familiar with it nor do I actually want to put the effort in to research it. It's just one of those things, like Royal Ascott and ladies hats.
