After their recent security breaches I wouldn't touch Sony with a ten-foot pole. My next console will either be a Nintendo or nothing at all.

I was just looking up trailers for some of the things they were announcing and it died again. That marks the 8th time that I've had a 360 die. I don't play it 24/ or anything ridiculous either.

At any rate, some of the stuff that was getting announced definitely caught my eye.

Dang. I've only had one die, and I definitely caused it because I played the first Bioshock nonstop for two days straight lol.

I broke mine twice. Once with Bioshock 1, pretty much the same as you, and once with Oblivion. The other times, it failed during the movie Cloverfield, it died once 10 minutes after getting it back from MS, and once it died during a game install. The rest of the time, I either don't remember, or it was during "regular" use.

meh... As much as I love FPS games, Halo is just burnt out to me.

Battlefield 3 on the other hand.....

I know I'm getting it. Way too many shooters coming out... I've gotta make some tough choices; Battlefield 3, Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3, Resistance 3, Halo 4 (and Halo CE), and I'm sure I'm missing another one or two...

I've played all the Halo games and sure, they're not bad games, but I never thought they were too amazing either. I can easily say I'm not planning on adding this one to my collection once it comes out anytime soon.

Halo = meh...

Honestly got to admit I came into this gen kicking and screaming.
When before I would always get at least one of the new systems as soon as they came out, I didn't actually get a 360 till a few months ago, just too many shoot em' ups ripping each other off and less thinky games. Most modern shooters, with the whole cover system that everybodys been using, to me, just feel like being walked through a bunch of shooting galleries with the game holding your hand and telling you where to go the entire time.

Though I gotta admit, I love me some CoD : WaW nazi zombies. I could play that game all day with a buddy. (I've done it too)

I'll actually be buying this one, unlike ODST and Reach. No Master Chief - no Halo.

mmbongo - 343 Industries (The Microsoft division who are now in charge of the Halo franchise) is mostly ex-Bungie people who stayed on at M$ after the rest of Bungie jumped ship, so I think they can be trusted with this.

GRAW II was the last pure FPS I played and couldn't put down. I may hold it on a pedestal because of getting LIVE around that time, but it definitely had me hooked.

Man, I wish I had GRAW II in it's prime. It was actually a TPS but still an awesome game which is why I can't wait for GR:FS. The acronym doesn't have the same ring to it as GRAW but the game is lookin sweet!
