Hangover cures

What do you guys like the morning after excessive Kris Kristofferson-style drunken debauchery in order to face the gruelling day? I find the greasier the better and I kinda like tomato juice, but I'm still searching for the perfect hangover cure.

The fastest way to cure a hangover is to have a drink. Realize, of course, that you are admitting to alcoholism if you do this sort of thing with any regularly.

Answering in the manner in which your question was intended, hot spicy food does it for me. That plus ibuprofen and a lot of water.

Lots of water & then Burger King-either a tendercrisp sandwich meal or a double stacker meal for lunch. If needing to eat breakfast-McDonald's sausage biscuit or McGriddle. Gotta have enough grease to help ease the process.

Tim Hortons Sausage Breakfast Sandwich...

That, or a good bunch of water the night before, and bread.

Even when I'm drunk I think ahead

There was this test done by British television programme Braniacs.

They tried painkillers, water, more alcohol, and protein filled stuff such as eggs and meat on a group of people suffering from hangovers.

The cure... was protein.

A pint of water before bed worked for me.

Step 1. Eat a raw egg and do jumping jacks for 5 minutes
Step 2. Sit down next to a metronome going 208 bpm at max volume
Step 3. Do more jumping jacks while listening to heavy speed metal

that should cure it for you

I don't get hangovers if I drink a good vodka.

If it's mainly a headache, rubbing a lemon on the forehead works. I've also heard holding a lemon under your armpits works too. Then there's that pressure point on your hand... the webbing between your thumb and index finger. Press on the muscle in there for about 5-10 mins.

Bloody Marys also work.

Drink a few bottles of Gatorade before you go to bed. Kill the hangover before it starts.

the perfect hangover cure that has worked for me EVERY time is a shot of tequila, a tall glass of water (12oz or more) and 2 ibuprofen.

when you get drunk your brain gets used to the fact that you have alcohol in your system. Alcohol also dehydrates you, which is why you pee a lot when you drink. Your brain starts to hurt because all the alcohol is out of your system and you are dehydrated so taking a shot (doesn't have to be tequila, thats just what I used to always use) puts enough alcohol back in your system to stop your brain from hurting, and the water and ibuprofen help with the pain and dehydration also...I've tried just pills and water, but it doesn't work as fast. Hair of the Dog!!!!

Hangovers are like STD's. The best cure is to avoid them altogether. That being said, three aspirin and a couple glasses of water followed by a 2 hour nap usually help me out the most.

What works for me is good prep the night that I'm drinking. It's difficult at times to pick my drunken ass up and actually carry out the preventative measures, but I usually thank myself for it the next morning.

I eat lots of some kind of food involving bread products and force myself to drink at least a bottle of water, preferably two. My roommate has also taken to offering me some tums or some other equivalent and a couple multivitamin pills. I still wake up feeling a bit crappy, but considering the amount of alcohol I usually ingest the night before I feel a hell of a lot better than I should.

I still have yet to find a food the morning after that doesn't leave me a bit nauseous.
