Dude is still selling out gigs all over Europe. He never really caught on over here like he did there. Aside from Racer X and Mr. Big, I doubt anyone would know him here.

I saw him years ago at a Mr. Big show. He gave me a pick, it said Pablo Gilberto on it. When me and my buddies are talking about someone who is full of themselves, we call them Pablo Gilberto.

Haha I don't know I always saw him as a pretty humble guy. I like him, I want to see him live someday.

He is a nice guy for sure. He is immensely talented and has the potential to be mega-full of himself. That is why we made the jump to that level.

One of my favorite concert memories is from a Mr. Big show, opening for Rush in Atlanta in 1991. During his dueling solo with Billy Sheehan where they used electric drills with picks on the end, Paul Gilbert got the drill caught in his hair and had to be helped off stage. It looked brutally painful. I thought for sure he'd come back on stage with a buzz cut.

I saw Paul live this year playing a solo show, opening for Joe Satriani. I was in the front row right in front of him, he played some face melting stuff.

I admit, I liked Mr. Big in the day. I saw them in a small club in Toledo, OH, and it was a pretty darned cool show.
