Thanks for the well-wishes, folks! I had a thoroughly enjoyable weekend celebrating the occurrence of my 40th birthday. Pete and Laura Skjold came up for the weekend, and Pete and I spent some time drinking scotch Friday night. He brought with him some Distiller's Edition Talisker and Glenkinchie, both of which were fantastic! The DE Talisker is really something special!
Saturday was spent over at Put-in-Bay, where we at more than we would need to for an entire week, drank nearly as much, and just generally had a great time! We saw an incredible band,
the Massacoustics, at the Boardwalk Saturday night. These two brothers put on a heck of a show. The one brother plays drums and bass at the same time, and sings some of the leads to boot! Very impressive!

The most crazy part of the weekend, though, was that Pete gave me a Skjold for my birthday!
That was totally unexpected, but super cool! Pics to follow!
