Wow, got three great sons! The boys banded together and got Dad a wireless for Dad’s Day and also my B’day combined (just occurred)!! It was either that or them occasionally hearing me speak in a unique tongue as I would step on my cord! I think they were very concerned too, I’m going on thirty days battling a Meniere’s like symptoms, major loss of hearing in the right ear, including bass freq’s and lost the bass freq’s in the left!! With the vertigo I was in a major panic a week ago. The bass freq's are slowly coming back in the left ear and the right ear where the major damage is, well too soon to tell. The vertigo has eased a bit, been quite a ride, LOL!
Anywho, enjoying the wireless, my boys are helping around the house and the old band is getting back together after a too long a break! It’s been a tough year with some other events added in, but my boys care and are doing everything they can to make it a great time for me!!
A truly GREAT GREAT Father’s Day!

My son is 1 yr and 3 months and have a bad problem of using foul language around him. Especially when Im playing. Thats why I started playing while he was sleeping.....or at daycare. Then I got myself one of those C-Tech pocket-rock it's...absolutely awesome tool! |

Mine was great. Rehearsed with a great band, then met the wife, son and dogs at the dog park afterwards, then came home and the wife (with help from the son) cooked for 3 hours for an epic dinner of steak, lobster, shrimp, and assorted sides and dessert (peaches with ice cream and a pecan bourbon sauce).
Life is good...

At home I have used various boxes to mix a song from CD or my computer with my bass and then through headphones. When the three boys were small and I would get in off the road late and the headphones amp did the trick!
I used a Zoom 9002 for the longest time. It finally burned out a couple years ago and I picked up a Tascam Bass trainer, first version, it’s done well so far. The C-Tech looks pretty cool and the headphones are required when the kids or Mom are asleep, LOL! Hey, good luck on getting your first cab, any thoughts on what you are looking for?

I was thinking about getting a behringer stack, the 4X10 cab with the ultrabass 4500 head. Im kinda on a budget but since Im in the desert, I get all kinds of extra pay, plus a tax free paycheck.....so I might go a little larger. Wish I could afford the Apmeg SVT Pro! |

| | The older I get, the better I was. | | Join Date: Sep 2005 Location: Pasadena, CA | | I got to do the only thing I asked to do on Father's Day - cook dinner for the family (including my wife's aunt and uncle who we're very close with). I really enjoy the chance to cook a nice meal, but don't often get the opportunity to spend 3+ hours shopping, prepping, and cooking. The menu consisted of pepper-crusted tenderloin with a sundried-tomato demi-glaze, grilled zuccini, and crab and mushroom risotto. Everything turned out quite good (the risotto could have used a little more salt).
Otherwise, my day was spent being a dad - watching my 3-year-old ride her bike up and down the driveway and helping my 9-year-old with a homework project.
As I expected, I got cards from my wife and daughters, and the promise of a future gift from my wife that will never come. My only actual gift was from my 3-year-old - a pencil holder make from colored popsicle sticks with tiny sea-shells hot-glued to the outside. Classic! | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
