Happy New Year! Food Traditions?

Here in Texas we have a tradition that eating Black Eyed Peas with Rice (aka Hopping John) and Corn Bread is good luck.

My wife's family is Swedish and they have a tradition of eating Pickled Herring for luck.

What other traditions are there?

Pork Roast, Sauerkraut and Potatoes. Most pale Slovak meal ever.

We picked it up in Texas: dinner is cornbread, ham and black-eyed peas.
