The gov't forms we have to fill out must be in mm/dd/yy format, but when we receive the info for these forms we never know if it's in that or if it's dd/mm/yy. Because of this I've resorted to always writing the date as 10 July 2011. I never use the numerical for the month if not absolutely required.
