Happy Star Wars Day and May the 4th be with you!

Now if you'll excuse me, I'll be watching all six of the Star Wars movies for the next 13 hours or so....

Dude, thanks for reminding me! It always seems to get around to somewhere between the 8th and the 17th and I think 'ohhhh yeah, it was Star Wars day!' Now I finally have an excuse to put on that stormtrooper outfit!

The new trilogy makes me dry heave. Star Wars episode 4 was a complete fluke. George Lucas has the talent of a chimpanzee finger painter.

I didn't know there was a Star Wars day. I assumed it had been revoked after they turned the coolest movie character of all time into the whiniest movie character of all time.

I agree completely.

Well, that's why you don't need to watch the movies.

Meh, he was a visionary and he launched at least two awesome careers (John Williams and Harrison Ford), and inspired a whole new way of thinking about how to put a movie together. I think if Lucas had waited another year or two before putting out Episode I, it would have been a lot better.

I honestly can't think of a way to get around 'good young lad becomes confused teenager becomes dark lord' without there being a certain element of whimpy/whinyness in the transition. That said, you are absolutely right.

Really? I can think of a hundred ways. And they all feature a main character with at least a smidgeon of charisma.

I wish I knew, since i wore my SW shirt to Joe Bonnamassa last night, and went around today with a Raiders shirt.

Ep VI is the best, btw...

Episode 6? You mean Midget Chewbacca Muppet Show? No freakin way. The Leia bikini and the redemption scene at the end were the only things saving that one. Episode 5 ftw!

I was gonna complete the set and say I like New Hope best, but (although it's a close call), Empire wins it for me.

Episode V was the best by a large margin and it was not directed by George Lucas. Coincidence? I think not!
