Anyway, I'll send you a request from both my band (BRAH).
As far as constructive criticism, I think you guys have a nice classic sound. It sounds authentic, which I like. The other band sounds more modern to me. Doesn't make one better or worse, just my impressions (keep in mind I'm in my late 30's). The first thing I thought of when I heard your first song was the first Faster Pussycat record. Guitar tone and style made me think of it.
As far as constructive ways to improve, I would recommend the following:
1. Don't worry about comparing yourself to others, just work on what you do.
2. Get yourself a professional looking logo that works well on the web, flyers, and merch. I found yours hard to read and it looked amateur. If you guys can't do it, maybe you either know a friend with some graphic design skills or you can find a graphic designer/gd student to make one up for you. Of course, make sure the name is available and no issues later (at least do a good web search).
3. Try to take some good looking promo pics. Either find a good backdrop or even take some shots against a blank wall and have the designer work something up for you guys (perhaps using your new logo). Once you get my bands friend request, look at our pics. You'll see some individual and group shots. Those were with a regular dig camera against a white living room wall. We did the rest in photoshop. We have the whole tribute band angle of course, but you get the idea. Remember, how you present your band is how you'll be perceived. Your recorded tracks are a good quality which is very important for an original act, so kudos there.
As Maki likes to say, just my 2 cents and my opinion. Take it for what it is worth, but I hope it helps.

Also, we are planing on doing band pics tomorrow with a frien (shes one of those photography chicks). And also, Im comparing because we're friends with the other band.
Thanks for the reply |

Thanks for the reply | Cool deal, sounds like you are on the right track. Good recordings, good pics, good logo, those are the 3 pieces to a professional presentation. I thought the recordings were good and I like the tunes as well. Can't wait to see the new logo and pics, make sure you post an update. Don't discount getting some merch. I'm in a cover band no less, and we were amazed at how many shirts and hats we sold the first time we ordered. We all kind of looked at each other like "I can't believe we didn't get these from the start".
