Or soy milk, for that matter?

I went 20 years of my life not knowing, and I just find out today that I am allergic to soy milk, orange juice, regular milk, almond milk and rice milk. The orange juice was a a big *** moment.

I really do not know what do about this...

Ahh, man, that's rough.. Orange Juice is one of the greatest things ever, and there are just so many things you can't have if you're allergic to milk..

Well, the exent of the allergies has been this bizarre rash which breaks out on my joints (usually wrists, knees, and elbows), hangs around for a bit, and then goes away.

This has been going on since I was 5 or 6. I don't remember exactly when It started.

Well, it doesn't mean you can't drink orange juice you know. It won't kill you.

I'm allergic to chocolate, I think. I have sneezing fits, especially after eating dark chocolate, and itching in the back of my throat sometimes, yet it's not enough to stop me. I just need to know when to quit.

I am and it sucks. Once every few years I'll drink some again to make sure, and I get the same result. Slightly swollen feeling surface on the tongue and throat. Nothing severe, but definitely not pleasant and not worth the great taste.

I have two Valencia Orange Trees in the yard- if I was allergic to OJ I would have been dead 40 years ago. Having a soy allergy must be hell for you since it seems to be in everything these days

be careful in bars and smoothie shops. i have sever allergies to pineapples, and the entire family of fruits with the same protein, and bars and smoothie shops never clean their blenders or shakers good enough between drinks. nothing is more of a downer than going into anaphylactic shock in a bar

I was allergic to Orange Juice as a kid so as a juice substitute my mother gave me cranberry juice. I outgrew the allergy years ago but still don't drink OJ and prefer the taste of cranberry juice...sucks having to make a lifestyle change but try to think of it as an opportunity to try something new.

It's also possible you have some sort of skin condition like eczema and these are irritants to your system, and not allergens.

Sugar and particularly chocolate, is an irritant for dyshidrosis which I have on two of my right hand fingers. I have it under control and as long as I don't drink too much sugar heavy beverages like pop and don't eat a whole pan of brownies I'm good.

My point is you should see a doctor about this to figure out exactly what it is. Irritants and allergens are different. An allergen will cause an immune body response, whereas irritants tend to aggravate other conditions.

I did. And one of those irritants turns out to be Orange Juice.

and refined sugars, trans fats, artificial sweeteners, assorted dairy products, soy milk, and some other random stuff.

Your explanations makes more sense then my explanation.
