Hate potholes.

Seriously, how could a pothole about 4 feet wide, about a foot long, and just under a foot deep go unnoticed? I just blew out both my front strut mounts last night (I needed to change them anyways, but it's nice to not have them clunking against the hood when you hit a bump). Apparently it's been there all week, and there are no signs or anything to warn you.

/rant.

It's like that in Niagara Falls.
I'm pretty sure they have ONE "bumpy road ahead" sign in Niagara. And it's just as you're about to go over the brink of the Falls.

crap

A similar thing happened to a friend of mine. He was having a round of spirited driving, and didn't notice a pot hole. Needless to say, he totaled one of his rims

Try living in my hometown of Hartlepool in the north of UK, with one of the worst records for potholes in the country. It's like off-roading on the cheap.

Had a professor at college that wrote into the town paper complaining about the potholes. He claimed that his car hit one and broke it's wheel mounting, so he had to shoot it!
