I don't how many times I'll write out a response on a thread, just to end up erasing it before I post it. Mostly I do that after I've read my snarky, sarcastic response and realized it's not worth the trouble. Other times, I can't quite come up with what I'm trying to say, and I'm sure someone's gonna reply with a better-worded, similar idea.
Just curious if we have a lot of preemptive editors, or more shoot-from-the-hip posters!

My posts are carefully thought out and artfully crafted to convey my thoughts precisely as I intend them. Or, are random - likely drunken - babblings of a lonely man. |

I'm usually pretty circumspect about what I post as I'm writing it, so I bail out very seldom. Two points in 20K ain't too bad.

I still haven't gotten over the changing of the ability to delete our own threads. That changed talkbass BIGTIME for me, and it's one of the few (if not only) changes they made here that I still really disagree with. That decision I feel was based on an ego thing because people were upset that their precious words and thoughts might get deleted in a thread that someone else started. I never quite understood that one. People are afraid of having their posts deleted? This is harmful to someone? I used to be a lot more free with what I'd post and I imagine the same holds true for at least a handful of others. I think a lot more now before I open my... uh, keypad? Maybe that's a good thing? The unabridged Joe Nerve was a lot more colorful. There were many things over the past few of years that I'd have liked other people's input on, but not things that I'd want to be part of the internet for the rest of time. :/
PS. If anyone is on the same page w me regarding the above I'd bring it up again for discussion in the forum suggestion box, but when the change was originally made I was definitely the minority. Never felt like beating what seemed to be a dead horse. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
