If you mean actual ignorance of not knowing something,or just being, without doing anything really wrong, then yes I have. I grew up in the dark days of public education where a kid could be paddled or loaded up with staying after school/detention, just for the smallest trifle that happened to piss off one of the adults in charge. I'm not talking about real misbehaviour or offences, just acting like a kid with being too noisy or too whatever, could get you into trouble.

Sure, it's called making a mistake. By "punishment," I just mean the natural consequence of something. I have not been punished by a person since I was a kid.

I almost got arrested for walking down the street. The cop said that I "looked suspicious" because I was going for a walk at 3 in the morning while it was raining. What actually happened was I was walking from a friend's house to my place and halfway there, it started raining. Apparently, the neighborhood I was walking through had had a few break ins the month before, and the cop assumed I was the one breaking in to people's houses. It also marked the first time I ever heard a latino cop say "why don't you call up the homeboys & have them bring a playstation over...or call up the honeys and go chill at their crib?"
