I was at football practice and was doing cut-and-go drills, where you have the guy with the ball on one side and a defender on the other side with 2 cones and when the whistle blows you run to the cone and cut toward one another. Well lets just say I one that round with a huge hit on one of our sophomore second string safeties/receivers and you could totally hear the pop of the bone in his upper arm. I really didn't mean to hit him that hard and ruin his season but the coaches always preached hit 'em like you would in a game. They always got on us to hit harder and harder every practice. I was starting at linebacker/safety by the 3rd game of the season and I was a freshman playing on the varsity team.

Yes, during intramural softball in college back in the 80s. I was trying to beat out an infield single when the first baseman backed right into my path. I was running full speed, and there was no way to stop. There was a BIG collision, and the first baseman's arm snapped very loudly.

No, but during little league baseball both me and another outfielder were running for a line drive ball that was heading into the outfield. I was clearly yelling "I got it!" but the centerfielder didn't seem to care - I jumped up, snagged the line drive, which then collided into the centerfielder's face, shattering his nose

Him and I are actually friends to this day (keep in mind this was ~12 years ago) and we still joke about it. He claims one day he'll have his revenge

No, but someone broke mine. The last day of 2nd grade, we were in the gym playing robots. Mike Accardo somehow flipped me and I landed wrong. Three weeks in traction at the hospital, summer vacation in a sling.

When I was in the seventh grade we were playing tackle football in gym class and one guy hit the ball carrier up high and I hit him down low from the opposite direction. He spun around in mid air and landed on his head/shoulders and broke his arm and collarbone. I remember the popping sound that the bones made when they broke. Yuck.

i have been the guy spinning around in mid air and landing on my shoulder before. it is not pleasant. "fortunately" i only dislocated my shoulder and hyper extended my knee in that incident. my knee still cracks from time to time and my shoulder has been easy to dislocate since then.

Broken a few, actually.

Football mainly, I recall breaking the QB's arm. That was fun. He went to throw, I tackled from behind and he landed on his arm with me on top. It broke, the bone came out and I go blood on my jersey. Ew.

Another time, i broke a kids collarbone in football. He was paralyzed for a few days. I kinda felt bad.

That's what I'm talking about!!! You would've been a starter on our football team. My coach would have loved you.

I broke someone's leg playing rugby once. I did an amazing tackle, and he landed funny and started screaming.
