I was on out of town travel once. Got out of the shower, getting dressed for an 8am session, looked in my shaving kit, and...
Razor. Shaving Cream. Toothbrush. Toothpaste. Deodorant. Meds. Gold Bond Powder.
NO HAIRBRUSH! NO COMB!   
Hotel room was on the upper floor, gift shop was not open, no concierge, no vending machine on that floor that I knew about.
What to do? The toothbrush. Took some extra time, but it worked well enough until I got down the stairs and out to a drugstore.
Laugh if you must, but desperate times require desperate measures.
