Screw you, Dime was and is my hero. When he was murdered the whole musical community suffered, especially the metal community. There is nothing wrong with being emotional over such a loss. I even met the man in person once, and hes was the coolest human being on earth.

i have to say no.

on the subject i really hated seeing people crying over princess Di's death, i mean people that wouldn't of had any remote contact or conection with the woman. plus she was nothing special.

i will say no too. I don't remember when princess di died and if it was in my life time i was to young to know about it. But even if its someone famous you shouldn't really cry if you never knew them. There are plenty of people that you don't know that die every minute but you don't see them on t.v. and they aren't famous and you don't cry over them?

never cried, but came close on a few occasions. i don't know the back story that seems to be behind you guys bashing yngwie 4string, but i have to agree with him. dimebags death was VERY emotional, he touched many with his music.

even worse for me is chuck schuldiner. it never had to happen, it was just such a waste... chuck was even more to extreme metal fans than dimebag was to the rest of the metal community. two of the most tragic deaths in music IMO.

I find it even hard to cry at relatives deaths. Seems kinda selfish.

If they lived a good life, celebrate it.

Now if something happened to one of my kids on the other hand, I will posting from a looney ward.

I didn't really cry at any of the funerals I went to. Even though I was close to my grandmother and grandfather (separate sides), I just never really pull up the emotion to cry.

However I remember when I heard that Syd Barrett passed away, I was just really depressed and down. Which is weird because not only was it someone I never met, but it was someone no one really heard much about.

Therefore, you're as cool as Yngwie? Interesting.

O man I miss Chuck too. I didnt cry over his passing, but I miss him.

Im not defending my user name anymore. Im a neoclassical guitarist. I like Malmsteen. Get over it.

Yeah I met Dime once, but I think the OP means somebody you didnt know like personally like family.

Now some Chuck
