Yes. My mother was not too fond of my beard and long hair, so I heard it from her almost daily until I shaved and got a haircut. But the only person who liked the change was her . The beard is back but it'll take some time to grow the hair out again.

My brother's poor excuse for a wife says it about their kids alot. She means it. Very dysfunctional female. They have one that is her favorite (4 girls), and is the only one that she carries pictures of. Then, they have one that is severely handicapped. She only talks about her when she thinks she'll recieve some pity for it. Then, the other two girls both have a lazy eye, and I've heard her tell them several times that if they would quit letting their eye make them ugly, that she'd show pictures of them to herr friends.

The whole family is waiting for her to die a horrible death.

Once my aunt called her boy stupid. I took her to the side and told her that she was not allowed to say that to him anymore. She looked shocked and ashamed. I think it just took some perspective for her to realize what she did.

She is a good mother in general, people make mistakes. Try to help them if you can.

Nope. Worst I've ever heard is a father tell his son, "I should've jerked you off and used the next load."

No, it's rude, damaging, and just makes the parent look weak if they have to do that. Nowadays a little work can make anyone look great (this is all subjective), so parents have no excuse to treat their kids like that.

Never.
I see some pretty rotten things. I work in a waterpark and see parents with their kids all day.

My little brothers ex called his first girl ugly to her face. She really is a spiteful jealous piece of work that one. Totally deranged but my little niece (5 at the time) was mortified. I gave her hell for it so she started on me and I told her quite plain what I thought of her.

She has never actually spoken to me since. Not that I mind.

yeps, but i'm not sure what to think of it..

basically this lady my family knew was saying it to her young daughter (i think about 3-4) in the same tone that you'd say something positive... like "you're so smart"...

yeh..weirdness

haven't seen her in a while so can't really say what's behind that for sure

on another note....for that lady harping on her kids about the lazy eye..aren't there procedures to fix the condition?..poor kids..

Not from a parent, I had an older brother that would constantly do that to me when I was little - "you're ugly", "you're dumb", I have no idea why he used to do that. What a dork. If someone you trust tells you something enough, you will start to believe it.
Now we look back and laugh at it but it took a while for me to start thinking otherwise.

At this point I'm hypersensitive to that sort of thing, if I were to hear a parent do that to their child I would have to speak up, I don't think that I could let that go. P*sses me off way too much.
