..to a "parody" thread, without realising that it was not intending to get replies, but was rather just a joke?

If so - how did you feel?

As far as I'm concerned, that has already become the best thread.

Reminds me of the April Fool's thread, the one where that Oreo guy bashed the hell outta Fender, even put "april fool's" in the middle of it, and still got page after page of angry replies... I wonder how all those people felt about that one...

Yes.

Silly, like a non-reading kind of bear.

I've also taken MM's things far too seriously.

They used to be amusing when they would appear on occasion. Now that there are two parody threads for every legit thread in OT...well, it got old a while ago.

Do you feel that really then, you should not be taking MM's threads seriously..?

Yeah I got sucked into the Hummer parody about gun control and a few others.

I felt kind of like how I feel about answering this one

Get it all out - admission of abject failiure will give you a "release" and make you feel much better!

Nonsense. OT is full of garbage threads (I'm trying to think of an example. I know there's one REAL close....). The reasoning behind the posting doesn't make them any worse than those who are really trying.

For whatever reason, I thought he was seriously asking a question that he actually was seriously asking- having to do with his "priestly" duties, rather than one of his everyday questions.

I actually went looking for information and talked to a couple of people and got contact information. Then I realized it was just another one of his threads.

I don't know if I've even opened one of his threads since then.
