Haye vs Klitchko

Sign in to disble this ad
What's your predictions? I'd like to see Haye put the big guy on his ass, but I fear the reverse.

Haye has not been too classy in the build up whilst Klitchko has maintained the moral high ground (if people who get paid silly money to hurt other people can do such a thing?). I know boxers talk crap in the build up, but the actual fight should be quite tasty...

I really don't like Haye. I know much of it is the "crap talking" in the build up. But the guy just strikes me as an arse.

Klitschko has the height and weight advantage (6ft5, 235lbs), Haye is about 6ft3 and 220lbs. That aside (the big russian had a massive weight and height advantage), I think Haye is in better condition and being 5 years younger could help.

(I've seen Klitschko's height as 6ft7, but I think that's his brothers height?)

Either way, should be interesting!

Klitschko's a real class act. When asked to respond to Haye making T Shirts showing the 2 brothers heads ripped off, he said:

"George Foreman, Joe Frazier, Larry Holmes, Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis they've all shaken this hand. The Dalai Lama, let me think…who else? There is a lot of people, Steven Spielberg, James Cameron and I could go on forever, so they actually shook the hand, but you don't like to shake this magic hand – why not?"

LMAO. If Haye gets to him early, he will have a good shot, but me thinks that Klitschko will handle him just fine. 9 or 10 round TKO for Klitschko.

Neither of the brothers have lost a fight in 8 years, and that isn't going to change this fight. Plus, you have to respect a guy that is a pro boxer and has a Phd.

It's a PhD in Sports Science. (This isn't a slight at Sports Science, but it ties in with my experiences). I know that the Sports Science department (undergrad and postgrad) at my uni is full of national level athletes. It's a very mutually benificial process I believe. Being interested in sports, but wanting to have a qualification to fall back on. So you get a sports based qualification (ie, what interests you!).

It is pretty cool tho, and has given he a funky nickname!

Yep. I think Haye will get 'pwned', as the kids say these days, along with 'epic fail' or some other such trendy lingo...

KO in 5.

I think that Haye will either barely scrape a win, or on the other hand Klitchko will annihilate him

Update...Haye weighs in 2 stone lighter than Klitschko. Could be the deciding factor methinks. One good shot and Haye is eating canvas....

28lbs difference? Wow, one has either gained alot or the other lost alot. Stats from last year showed only ~15lbs difference.

It is certainly something to consider (see my original post), but it isn't everything. I still think Haye looks in better physical condition.

Also, weight differences, the big russian Haye fought last year (or the year before), was 7 stone heavier!

Yes, but Valuev was not a fighter like Haye, more of a jab and brawler. I just think Klitschko will be too strong?

I think 2 stone is too much of an advantage....more weight to have to knock down, rather than more force from the punches....either way, I'm expecting it to be tasty!

Actually, no. Haye out-thought and out-classed. Pretty dull fight and respect to Klitschko. He's no great champion, but it's not his fault the challengers aren't out there.

Good result.

Just wish it was by KO!

Klitschko was in control the whole time. Haye could hardly keep on his feet.

Can't wait to see Haye complaining about people being "out to get him"
