Head Coach of Tennessee?!

Ok, this is a thread to discuss who is going to be Fulmer's replacement. I'm sure all you people from the NCAA thread will have an opinion.

I, personally, think it will be David Cutcliffe or Lane Kiffin. I'm probably going out on a limb by saying Lane Kiffin but I think he's probably not ct out for the NFL yet and is wanting to go win some games in college.

I know I heard Will Muschamp's name thrown around a little bit yesterday, but I don't know. He's a hell of a motivator, but I don't want to see him leave Texas for a while.

It's a possibility but I don't think he would leave a program like Texas just yet.

Lane Kiffin? He is a bit distracted trying to sue the Raiders right now.

Are you kidding? Of course he would. It may be hard to remember, but Knoxville is a top 10 job in the country. That program completely dwarfs an NFL team (hard to believe but it's true).

I wouldn't bet on that. I would love to have him back at Auburn.

I'll never forget watching the Auburn vs. Arkansas game last year and hearing Muschamp screaming, "KNOCK THOSE F***ERS OUT!!"

Good times.

Just curious, and maybe this will make for a lively conversation. If you have the time, I'd be interested to know your top 10 CFB jobs in the country. I'll work my list off yours, so you go first.

Straight off the top of my head and in no particular order......

Florida- always in the mix. A recruiter Garden of Eden.
Tennessee- 110K every weekend. They OWN that state.
LSU- fertile recruit base.
Ohio State- 800 lb Gorilla up there.
Texas- THE place to be in the Southwest.
USC- They own the entire left side of the country.
Oklahoma- Tradition of titles..... handfuls of them
Notre Dame- I'm note sure about this one. I felt like I HAD to include them.....
Michigan-Huge alum base.... Lots of money to buy LB's!!
PennState- See Notre Dame.......

There you go.........Who did I leave out? By the way, before everybody gets all "flamey", just remember I had to do the first version..........

He "agreed" to resign from his position with a $6 million bonus.

I'm hearing Jimbo Fisher, but it's all speculation. Muschamp would be good. If Auburn is smart, they'll be going through back channels to get him out there first. There are lots of successfull coaches at some smaller schools who we might not know who would jump at the chance to coach at UT as it could make their career.

Yeah, I heard Skip Holtz from Eastern Carolina could be a possibility too.

Well...I grew up in Marietta, Georgia and my Dad went to Univ. of Tenn for his undergrad. I grew up with orange in my blood.

Then...I moved to Birmingham, AL to go to Samford University and graduated from there. Samford is a small private school and not known for sports (Bobby Bowden and Jimbo Fisher graduated and played football at Samford though ) so I still rooted for UT.

Then...I met my wife in Bham, AL and she graduated from Univ. of Tenn.

We love the Vols!

Tennessee is crazy to turn loose of Fulmer with his record. What are their chances of getting anyone better? Maybe 1 in 50....not good odds.

I think it's just good to know that I'm not the only UT fan here on TB. I get made fun of in the NCAA thread.
