NO WAY!

Wow. RIP Heavy D.

I'm sure Maki will come in here and mention it, but Heavy D was a huge dancehall reggae act, as well

What?! That's crazy and sad. I saw him live opening for Public Enemy in the late '80s, he put on a good show.

RIP

Sad day for those of us from Mount Vernon, NY. I knew Dwight way before he became Heavy D! The Boys were friends of my younger brother and were over the house often.

Yeah it is sad. I had so much respect for him because he became famous and sold so much music without calling women B's and Ho's, cursing, glamorizing drugs or violence, or using the N word.
