Helicopter used in heist (film at 11)

As a fan (but not ring leader, mind you) of organized hijinks, I have to say that if this weren't so illegal I'd be very impressed.

While the world is full of people with more greed than intelligence, I have to imagine that the pool of individuals capable of pulling this off has to be quite small. Your average thief doesn't know any helicopter pilots, much less one willing to steal a helicopter and use it in a high profile robbery.

It sounds like these people put in some thought and effort. I wonder what they would be able to accomplish if they were to try and do things on a legal scale?

I'm not sure there's a legal field that requires the talents of "forced entry and emptying of building with arrival and departure by helicopter". I might be wrong.

I'd dare say that there's no chapter about this in police forces' intervention manual either.

We got some 18 year old kid up this way stealing airplanes and boats to cruise around the islands of Puget Sound ripping of stores and residences.

He learned to fly from a flight simulator. One small airport reported a plane had a "hard landing" at their airport, when they went over to the plane, it was empty. Later that day, several residences reported being burglarized.

Same kid who broke into a police car, stole some guns and a digital camera. The police can not find him.

Good point, though the military is usually pretty stringent about age. Without knowing how old these guys were, it's best to assume that they would have been too old for the military and had to sue for age discrimination, crippling the Swedish government and eventually leading to them getting this pile of money, anyway. I'd say that by just taking the money without all the paperwork, attorneys and legal fees, they actually saved the country money. When this is realized, they'll be awarded a medal and actually bring the discussion full circle, being able to get the cash and serve their country.

The best part about that site is the 'out on the town'
photo galleries. Check Sept 18-19 photo 2. Yikes.

They are trying to emulate Icelandic and Finnish girls.

(Hey Mike, sorry for the hijack.)

The same thing that happened to his moderator election victory. It was stripped from him by the powers that be for having the gall to challenge the system. Farewell "guy running while on fire despite red line indicating that he shouldn't", we hardly knew ye.

Either that or he didn't pay up.
