We're going to Disney for Christmas, and staying at one of the resorts. My brother-in-law lives in Florida, and would like to come and spend a day with us. He checked on tickets to get into the Magic Kingdom for one day, and it was $125!!!
Do any of you that live in Florida know of a place to get some discount tickets, or some other options? With gas/tickets/dinner, it will cost him over $300 to visit, and I'm just trying to find an option to save him some money.
Let me know if you know anything. |

My HS always did stuff for disney (singing in choirs, marching in parades, dancing in productions) and we would get "paid" in tickets... so kids unload them for $40 or $50 all the time. Craigslist is your best bet though...

Unless, you like standing in 2 hour lines for 2 minute rides. |

Nahhhhhhhhhh.
Universal/Islands of Adventure are the most "fun" ride-wise. The big Disney rides are much higher budget, but some might not enjoy them.
And not right across the street either. Walt Disney bought 40 square miles so Disney would be more isolated than Disneyland which eventually became surrounded by touristy crap.
A lot of people give Disney crap, but after taking a class on Walt, his philosophies, and everything that goes into Disney World, it really is second to none. I have to give it big props because it is the SOLE reason Orlando is what it is today. Those tax dollars turned Orlando from a name on a map to a big thriving city.

Disney resorts are way above any of the competition. Urban planners study Disney as an example of a nearly ideal city, staying on the property is quite an experience. Great (and free) transportation to anywhere on the grounds. You guys will have a great time.
Once again, craigslist will be your best bet for cheap tickets for your brother-in-law.
