Help a friends non-profit organization win a $20,000 grant

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey OT I was wondering if I could get some of you guys to vote for a customer and friend I work with a lot at my job. She runs the non profit organization Open Windows and is quite the go getter when it comes to her job and passion. I was hoping you guys could maybe toss her some votes in a contest her organization is in to win 20,000 dollars grant for there library in Guatemala.

Here is the info on the grant and where to go to vote.

Open Windows Foundation is a non-profit library, computer lab and learning center in San Miguel Duenas, Guatemala. OW is the only source of books in the community, providing them to children and adults as well as schools. I serve as the board president for the US Open Windows Foundation.

OW is a finalist to receive a $20,000 literacy grant from Better World Books. To win this grant OW needs votes.......I'm asking for your help. All you need to do is log onto www.betterworldbooks.com click on the right side of the page where it says ... Reader's Choice Literacy Grant.......scroll down to Open Windows Foundation and vote.

Please help, this grant will bring the joy of reading to hundreds of Guatemalan children.

As I'm sure you have heard, Guatemala has been hit by a volcanic eruption and a tropical storm. Hundreds of people have died, and many have lost everything. San Miguel Duenas is one of the communities that has been hit hard. OW serves as a focal point, a community center for the town, especially needed during this time of crisis.

PLEASE LOG ON AND VOTE!!

If your curious about what I do. I work for a small company that sells non profit software to non profit organizations all over the world. I do tech support and I am on a first name basis with tons of are customers. Marge is one of my favorite people I work with thought it would be a good idea to post this here see if TalkBass could help them win.

Looks like a great foundation. I voted for your friend.

blasted = term I use that I learned from my grandpa to describe difficulty or frustration.

captcha = the scrambled words/letters you are required to decipher to authenticate on a website that asks you to login or submit some data. Usually used to verify the end user is human and not a bot.
