Question Help! Going to first UFC event, what do I need to know?

Sign in to disble this ad
I follow the UFC regularly since UFC 1, so I know all about it.

I am wondering what I should bring/look for. The event is UFC 116 - Lesnar V Carwin.

Do they allow full, long zoom cameras? (NBA doesn't)

What time should I get there?

I have one extra ticket to sell, should I try there or just get a refund? Where DO you sell one?

Can you stay at the place early or late and possibly meet some UFC people? (fighters or otherwise)

Does my UFC Fight Club membership do anything anytime?

Anything else I should be aware of?

Thanks guys!

No idea about any of your questions (except, give me the ticket and fly me there), but I am insanely jealous.

Well if you can make it to Vegas and give me something of value for the ticket, I'll give it to you for free.

I am looking for a Schroder cab....

what should you know at your first UFC match attendance?
Well, don't lip off to the fighters and jump into the ring.
It happens.
Not good.

Hate Brock Lesnar. Don't wear a tapout shirt.

No one will be there for autographs after the fight, all fighters are required to get physicals.

Scalp the ticket outside, but not too close to the venue.

And no need to get there super early, but don't be late.

I hope your seat is within the first 10 rows or you'll be watching it on the big screens. I went to one in Vegas last year at Madalay Bay, bought tickets last minute. It was tough to tell what was going on, looking at the octagon

from what ive been told you shouldve bought as many tickets to that event that you could afford at the time. i do not advocate any illegal activity, but from what ive been told you could easily cover your costs (if youre flying in and getting a hotel etc).

as for how to ditch that kind of stuff, my buddy, who is a huge radiohead fan, has unloaded extra tickets for absurd amounts on cl.

i keep meaning to go, but health problems have been an issue. im thinking about seeing silva in oakland, but, as has been said, if youre not up close, youre probably watching it on a screen... which i can do at home... for fre...

anyway, have fun. a few of my friends are all about vegas and fights, and theyve never had a bad time.

don't go out for a hot dog until it's over....sometimes these things end suddenly and you have to read about it in the paper

If someone points a video camera at you, make sure to lean forward, point at the ceiling, and yell "Woooooo!"

Apparently there's some sort of rule about that.
