Looks like you did this one on an Etch-a-Sketch.

munjibunga---

not quite; i used photoshop on that one also, but i have to admit i don't really like it.

check out this one...

see, still way too big... on resize image, i set it 1.2 in width and that came out to about .6 in height

i used a scanned image on these two, whereas on the etch a sketch one i just used the pencil function in photoshop

/s/ Dave

Well, if it were me (and I know it's not), I'd find a nice cursive font in photoshop and use that. I usually use Mistral for a casual signature.

Too big resolution size or file size?

Resize it again fool, you should be able to select both resolution and save quality to reduce both.

Yeah I'm really confused what you want to do. If it's too big just resize the image...

Image > Image size

Only change the width or height, and make sure you don't change the resolution.

It will not be the same size on print and on screen. One inch on your screen is roughly 0.35 inch on paper.

Mail me the original image and a few of your blank checks and I'll see what I can do.

Hahaha.

To the OP. Explain to us what your final goal is with image. What do you want to do with it?

If you are working with print, then inches works, but if you're going to use this image for digital purposes, switch your units of measure to pixels.
