The way I handle this sort of thing is just start jamming names into the "is it taken" engine (e.g. on Network Solutions) and on Google. I start off with just one or two ideas, but the more variations I think up, the more new ideas occur to me, until I have like a hundred that are already taken, half a dozen that are available, and one of those is a good name.

A different approach from the literal names you've got is the random-but-easy-to-remember made up words like "Zzounds".

Bizzong
Quarp
Beeble
Katang
Foop
Padonk
etc.

Looks like "PartsAhoy.com" is available.

this is the correct answer. sure, put your personality, some relevant word or whatever, but make SURE its easy to google.

im a fan of the band "3" but even i take like 20 minutes trying to find their site.

other than that, i will think it over and post some thoughts when they exist.

Thanks guys...I am really trying to be google friendly and have a great name at the same time. Also something that could turn into an actual brick and mortar store in 5-10 years if all goes well.

Already doing great in its first year with an ebay store. I can't hide the money from Uncle Same anymore. So I am incorporating next week.

The next step will be to open an online store apart from ebay in Jan 2010.

One Stop Guitar and Bass Shop sounds more like a slogan than a name, to me anyway

You just need a short, simple name, like The Tone Yard, or some random musical term, like Flat 7th or something.

All your bass.... following along the "all your base are belong to us" joke... could shorten it to A.Y.B.

Since there's a link to ebay, it sounds like this thread is a commercial plug for his business.

Those two names are boring. Find something better. TrooperFarva has a couple cool suggestions.
