As some of you know from having read my posts in the past, I am a very low income choob with the unfortunate circumstances of losing my home here in Honolulu due to my wife getting separated from the Navy, and am being forced to move back to the mainland on extremely short notice.
I have in my possession my SX Jazz, my Stiletto, my 004, my Omen 6 (guitar) and my son's Ibanez Mikro (guitar). I have one case, a Douglas that I bought with my SX some months ago.
Every single thing I own save my musical instruments, a couple sets of clothes, and a few pieces of electronics are going to goodwill or the trash, so basically, the only thing I am keeping is my bass gear really.
My question is, do any of you happen to have any old, beat up, and unused bass/guitar hard cases you don't need? I need two for bass and two for guitar. The shops out here are only sell the expensive new ones.
Also, how would you recommend packing a Peavey Mark VI and my Ashdown 1510 to minimize possibility of damage? An instrument, assuming I can't find cases for them?
Thanks for the help.

-Mike | If I could afford your ticket, I'd be able to buy enough cases and still have enough left over for a Diamond P Custom. In sparkly blue. :P

Thanks for the help. | maybe check if you can crate it all up or make a pallet.....why pay for the extra weight of the cases that you will have to buy at premium prices, when you know that you will find tons of them cheap on the mainland.....bubble wrap is cheap, and cardboard is free

However, as usual, it's lowest bidder, and they don't care much about their clients' stuff getting places safely.
Only positive is that if stuff gets broken, then their insurance pays MSRP for broken stuff. In this case, assuming they broke *everything* I am keeping, I'd get several thousand dollars.
