Please go see an ear specialist for your own sake. There could be a number of
causes.

Have you set your EQ strangely/extremely?

Is it a multi-chanel movie? Most of the speech comes through the center chanel.

yeah. think dolby multi channel audio.

if you are on your computer, go to your sound card and turn it to 'stereo' 2 speaker (if you don't have actual surround sound speakers, that is)

OR maybe the movie you are viewing (if its a download) wasn't ripped correctly and they left the center channel off..
