Seriously. I've got a problem. Thats the first stage, right?

Basically I can give it up, but I always end up back after a little while. 6 months is the longest, and latest time away. In the past its been anywhere from a week to maybe a month. Even the annoyance of the really long install process didn't turn me away this time, and I literally sat there till it finished.

Its really bad, and I get headaches if I stare at a computer monitor for too long, worse if its 3d graphix im starin' at. Xtra strength Tylonol has become my friend.

In the past I've basically replaced it with bass playing, but even that isn't doin' it this time.

You could just trow it away, or have more fun and go Office Space on it's ass.

FWIW, a good LCD monitor will GREATLY reduce your eye wear compared to a CRT monitor.

Otherwise, get a girlfriend. You won't have nearly the time or money for WoW like you used to, and you probably won't want to play it nearly as much.

Yeah my old CRT did that too me, however that thing was dying. A properly working doesnt.

hmm, how to give up WoW? uhh.. Play a manly game like Quake! You'll never want to spend 5 hours herding chickens for a fabulous stick of wonderland again.

Seriously, just cold turkey it.

Actually I get headaches off my LTs LCD screen. Like I said tho, its only really bad when I play something thats all 3D.

I could look at waveforms in audacity all day and only get a minor pain....

Perhaps I should just get rid of it....

1) Take credit card off account, thereby suspending it
2) Change PW (and other security stuff) to something random (faceroll the KB?)
3) ????
4) Profit

A close friend got divorced over his wife's web game addiction. Just say no.

Or maybe he should just find a woman with a web addiction of her own. Then the two of them could sit in the same room and not talk to each other for hours. It would be like training for marriage.

Run a GIS on "The Dangers of World of Warcraft."

I think you'd appreciate the comic. I'd post it here, but it's got naughty language in it.

dude u gotta fall in love with your bass. If you don't it is time to buy a good one. There is nothing that separates me from my bass, and that is the way it has got to be for you. This is not a WOW problem but a lack of interest in bass. Find it buddy. Find it.

Sell all your gear in the game, and give all your gold to some player in the game. Then delete all your characters. Thats what I did, but I didn't like the game much to begin with.

I had a mild addiction to runescape. Yeah I know, but I didn't back then. Then I discovered it kinda sucked. I gave everything away and now am better. Good luck, I suggest you do pretty much everything suggested here, give away, break disk, girlfriend. Go for it! Also you could look for something you really want to buy, like a new pedal or something and calculate that it takes x months not on wow to have a new pedal completely budgeted for! Just a thought, how much does it cost a month?

I have given up WOW for bass completely. delete your toons. i know how hard this will be. delete them. break your install disks. close your account and list it in your firewall, so you can't log in. Its better this way. I started when the game started. I have quit playing, am now engaged, playing with a band and taking a roll in my kids life. not to mention I go places and have also lost weight.

No, I got it. Just a bad joke that maybe that's the kind of woman the OP needs.

Nothing wrong with spending time online if you enjoy it (Lord knows I spend enough time on TB) but once it starts interfering with real relationships (or creating new relationships) it's gone way too far.
