Being a mountain biker in Southern California, I harbor a special paranoia for mountain lions. The fact that this was a self-portrait gives me the super extra creeps! |

I'm trying to find it right now, but the L.A. Times once published a pic that a guy took of his wife in kid in the mountains above Orange County. When he got the pictures back, he noticed a mountain lion hiding in the bushes, staring intently at the kid. I'll post it if I find it. |

It would be a really good photo shop to account for the flash like that, look at the shadows on the branches, and the light levels in the background. |

They cropped out the mother and child which sucks because it made the pic extra creepy!
Look close. |

But on the other hand - mountain lions are scary.
There are folks in Pa and even here in NJ who absolutely swear to have seen them although they're not supposed to exist here anymore.
I dunno they said the same thing about coyotes at one time, now they're here so who knows.

While taking a smoke break out back I was watching a few drunk guests meandering around in the "parking lot". Not 2 minutes later the biggest cougar I have ever seen stalks out from behind a car no more that 40 feet from the unexpected guests, eyeing them intensely. I picked up a rock and started to run down the hill towards the cat, yelling. I threw the rock and missed but by the time the rock hit the ground the cat took off. The people outside insisted I was crazy and on drugs untill I found the head ranch hand and showed him where the cat had been. Sure enough, in the dirt, there were track prints and a huge scuffle mark from where the cat had come up, crawled and laid down. Everyone started to take it seriously when the ranch hand came back with a 12 gauge and a 44 and refused to let people out to the parking lot.
BIGGEST COUGAR I HAVE EVER SEEN! |

You're doing it right. | yes yes, mountain lions are often very Hungary for Turkey. They love the meat a little Swedened, but without too much Greece. And they always want to pay by Czech. They can get a little heavy after dinner though so bring Ukraine to lift them.
